What makes a father

So back in Estoria we were only in time to play some games at the bar since that was the only festival thing they were still doing. A good thing that happened there was that Torag heard that his mom was still alive BUT she was about to be sacrificed for the games, you know the big ones in Mytros, which is what they like to do there with minotaurs. Luckily the games were postponed because of some kind of trouble so we decided to go do the last prophecy thing.

First though we got some sleep and then Lutheria was at it again with a horrible nightmare about a person with a weird stitched face and something about knowledge being pain. We all got completely weird - Torag forgot everything, Dardanus got a twitch and Pachinko thought Torag was his son I think?? I felt great especially about the weapons I had but they said that was probably a problem as well. Thankfully Esop at the temple could help us out.

After that Dardanus and I went to look for Pythor because we wanted to get better at fighting still both of us, and I wanted to ask whether Volkan was making a joke about the 20000 gold. When we came to his chamber he was laying there in bed sleeping.. with two women.. and then before I could do anything Nyssa flew in because she saw something shiny. I had to fly in there and catch her and Pythor must have been really passed out because he didn’t even wake up over it, haha. In the end Nyssa managed to grab a small mirror, I still have it.

Well we left him to sleep then because we didn’t want to disturb him in his, uhh, business.. Is it weird that I really don’t feel a lot about it? Maybe I care more about my foster parents than my real dad - I mean, he’s so different somehow.

Anyway, after that I secretly snuck away from Dardanus to go see Ellie. Man she really didn’t like seeing my scar and I kinda understand but… She really cares a lot then?.. I didn’t think she’d care that much? She was scared for me to go to some dangerous thing again but I explained her that I really didn’t have much of a choice - I couldn’t just sit there down in Estoria and do nothing while I knew how to get to my mom and it wouldn’t be fair to the other heroes or anyone else either. She understood but still didn’t like it.

Then we got ready to go and decided together that Kyrah should probably stay behind since she’s still hurt pretty bad. I kind of forgot what it was that we should be doing but apparently we had to get some stuff from a dead dragonlord somewhere. I’ll write about it next time

Into the mines

So then we went to Volkan and apparently to make the weapon Pythor wanted to kill Hexia I need to bring him some adamantium, a magic club and oh also only TWENTY THOUSAND GOLD. Man I was impressed with the 20 gold my family brought together for me, and now I somehow have to find a thousand times that?? Is he pulling my claw here??? I really don’t know how I’m supposed to do that and I honestly felt a little hopeless when I heard that... I don’t know, maybe we’ll find something that’s worth that much maybe?? Or I just have to like, work forever and MAYBE when I’m old and shaggy I can finally try to save my mom…

And also for the weapon and the prophecy we have to get some fire in the mines going. It’s like a magical forge which is kept going by a fire elemental being. At the same time there was a festival going in Estoria but we have to complete our things before the oath of peace runs out so we decided to just go.

So we got travelling, walking over the plains to the mountains (the others can’t fly which sucks) but then something happened! The tiny dragon egg hatched!!! Inside there was a tiny dragon!!!! Well duh but she was so pretty!! I called her Nyssa and she called me dad I think hehe. I’m not but I am still really happy with her. Especially Astria and Pachinko liked her as well, I don’t think the others cared too much?? Anyway it’s a bit weird because she can tell me thoughts and pictures, like right into my mind. I love her a lot!

Along the way we some centaurs asked us to save their kids which were kidnapped by some trogdomites I think they’re called, like lizard people but really, really smelly. They’re in the mines and it’s difficult for them apparently, for the centaurs to go there I mean. So we went where the mines should be and there were these giant waterfalls - I’ve only seen them from a distance once or twice, it was awesome to be up close. Inside were the centaurs and we saved them and then we continued into the mines where there were some crazy creatures, like dogs with two heads and super-ugly chickens?? Just goes to show how much dark spaces suck!!! But the worst was that huge dog in the downstairs - it bit me so hard I blacked out and ended up with a massive scar in my neck and chest. It sucked and hurt and I never thought I’d get that close to actually really dying. And how should I explain this to my parents?? Also auntie Kyrah got hurt real bad when she tried to get me out of trouble. It was worse than me still because she could barely walk after.

I was really bummed out then. Like, I’m a kid!!! I know I’m supposed to be a hero and I know Pythor said I need to work on my defence… But I’m trying ok?? At least give me some time to really get into the hero business before feeding me to the sharks.... And now because I couldn’t handle it Kyrah got hurt too.

The troglodytes came back again but we could take those at least. Oh and Pachinko convinced the forge elemental to stay for like a whole year to help us, which is great but I don’t know if I can make enough money for that weapon I need in that time?? Pachinko thought we would so ok.

Oh we also found some gems there, that was kind of fun actually although it would have been easier if I could fly at that moment, because they were in the side of this massive, dark hole that was there.

Errgh so on the way back at least we were out of that nasty place, but something bad happened again but not to us at least. There were some guys who thought they could get away with ambushing a bunch of centaurs. Well that went wrong and now they were running to us to try and help them. The centaurs wanted them dead or enslaved I think but Dardanus managed to convince them to only take a limb. “Only” - like, it was horrible to see happen right there but at least they didn’t get murdered?? We got them to work for the temple, see if they can learn something there.

Well that’s it for now not a really happy one I guess but I’m running out of paper
